Close Fibromyalgia
It all started from a freak accident where I bonked the top of my head 4 years ago. I suffered a dissected carotid artery and a mild stroke. I now suffer from severe stabbing headaches. I shattered my shoulder last year and had a DEXA bone scan and found that I have Osteoporosis. (High fracture risks in both my hips) I was just diagnosed with Fibromyalgia. That finally explained the Raynaud's Syndrome. So anyways, I have constant chronic pain. I've isolated myself b/c of this.
Treatments
- Acupuncture Working / Worked
- Absolutely the best treatment for chronic pain that I have ever used. My first session felt like a shot of morphine that lasted for hours.
- Cymbalta Working / Worked
- I was terribly depressed and this really helped with my crying spells. I am feeling less emotional.
- Hydromorphone Working / Worked
- I take 3 (2mg) a day. Really helps with the stabbing pain I get in my head. I have never felt "high" from this. Just normal.
- Lyrica Working / Worked
- I have been on Neurontin for 4 years and just wasn't even sure if it was working anymore. I started with Lyrica and feel better results. It seems to have more of a kick.
- Ambien Working / Worked
- Awesome! I use Ambien CR 12.5. I have a hard time nodding off, and even with this med, it takes me about 1.5 hours to feel the effects. It helps keep me asleep all night.

- I was on this med for 1 year and I was literally losing more bone mass from the year before. Now I am on Forteo for 2 years.
- Forteo Working / Worked
- I've been on this med for 2 months now. Some mornings my hips hurt so bad. They call it growing pains, because you are literally growing bone! Yahooooo!
Open Physical & Emotional Abuse
My eyes are finally open. I am now realizing that I am a textbook abuse victim. My favorite saying has always been, "It will be better tomorrow". 10.5 years with this man, hoping that tomorrow would always be better.
