everyminute.org - WHY?? Mood
Wednesday, March 12, 2008
There has been a lot of questions about our mission here at everyminute so I guess we need to be a little more clear. We all struggle on a regular if not daily basis with our health, mental or physical, some more than others. This website is meant to bring together all of us that have been in the darkest of hells and those that care enough to give all of these tortured souls hope. Hope that together we can find an answer to this suffering. The stigma this illness faces is real. We all recognize that on a regular basis. Support and education has brought us all beyond anyone’s highest expectations. We recognize and continue to fight that battle along with the rest of the advocacy efforts through the upcoming years by uniting them into our cause. It is our mission to build their capacity for good. We are all in this together. As individuals our voices are not being heard. The time has come join a visionary. Curtis Graves has given us an opportunity to join together, to support each other. We want to support each and every one of you.

Our mission is to give a voice to advocacy organizations one and all no matter its size. The individual in a rural neighborhood that gets shunned at the grocery store for their efforts, the tortured soul that doesn’t have the strength to leave their home, the group of college students that can see the need to take action without the resources needed to be heard. We have all been given the opportunity to be heard as one. Our voices together can make a difference. everyminute.org wants all of this and more. We want answers. Answers that can ease the suffering. We envision the ability to create individual treatment plans from the start, the ability to take the guesswork out of the process. We envision a cure. I am a father myself, of a beautiful baby girl. I owe it to her on the day that tortures me, the day she comes to me with pain in her eyes and says “Daddy, why?

Thank you, and Carrie, I agree with you, especially since I have tried to assist a person on DS find more appropriate resources than just me. I recognize when I need more assistance and am learning to ask for more help. I can be a real jerk sometimes.
