Sorry about repeating myself lol. It didnt show that I saved the first hug so I sent it again. Oh well. Im anxious to talk to the dr about taking Metformin. Luckily Ive been taking it for awhile and my body is used to it. Now I just need to get thru the "morning" sickness and Im home free :).

I have a question. When did you stop taking Metformin or are you still taking it? I get mixed answers from my dr's. One says to take it the whole pregnancy to reduce the risk of gestastional diabetes...another says to stop after first trimester. Just curious...

We are over the moon! We had thought our last cycle was a bust. I am enjoying every second of it...even being sick 24/7 lol. I will be 8 wks on Monday. So how are you doing? How far along are you now?

Close Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS)
I was diagnosed with PCOS in Feb. 2008. I feel like I have probably had it since puberty, when a lot of my symptoms started. I went through years of doctors telling me that I was missing my periods because of 'stress'. I don't like that I have PCOS, but at least I know what is wrong with me and I can learn how to deal with it.
Treatments
- Metformin Working / Worked
- I was on this for about a year. It helped me loose weight, get my period back, and get pregnant. If it wasn't for the stomach issues I would think it was a miracle drug!
- Oral Contraceptives Working / Worked
- Helped me have a period...
Close Psoriasis
I have been suffering from psoriasis on my skin for 12 years and of my joints for about 9 years. I am still learning how to overcome all of the hassles and insecurities that it causes. I am constantly learning how to overcome my insecurities through my medications and support.
Treatments
- Coal Tar Somewhat Helpful
- Doesn't seem to help a lot...seems to dry out my scalp
- Dermarest Not Working
- Tried this and although helped itching a bit, didn't really help
- Dovonex Working / Worked
- It has helped a lot, but has not completely cleared up my skin.
- Hydrocortisone Somewhat Helpful
- helps with itching, but creams are impossible to put on scalp because of all of my hair...liquid works better

I am 24 years old and am tyring to have a baby with my husband. I found out earlier this year that I have PCOS (one of the leading causes of infertility among women) and I'm here just looking for a little support and maybe tips from people that have been in the same position...
