About Me
I am a grateful recovering compulsive gambler. My last bet was on 7/6/05. I attend two G.A. meetings a week even after over 2 1/2 years of clean time. I am on the G.A. hotline for our area and am always involved in G.A. functions. To stay clean from gambling I have to live one day at a time and work every day to become a better person. G.A. support helps me do that. I have to take inventory each day and try to better my character defects.

Close Gambling Addiction & Recovery
I am a grateful recovering compulsive gambler. My last bet was on 7/6/05. I attend G.A. at least two times a week and am on the Cincinnati area Hotline and stay very involved in G.A. activities. The only way I can stay clean is to take my life one day at a time, which is hard for any compulsive person to do. But with the support of G.A., my family and loved ones and my Higher Power, I can do this. But I have to do this today. I can't say I will never gamble again, I can only work on today.
Treatments
- Distancing Working / Worked
- I have to set roadblocks in my way and I have done that for myself and it has helped me. I have done lifetime self-exclusion for all casinos that I know I can get to.
- Gamblers Anonymous Working / Worked
- I go to at least two meetings a week and stay involved in our G.A. activities. I am also on the Cincinnati area hotline. I find so much support in my G.A. meetings and friends that I have within my G.A. family.
