A little sun to brighten your day! I have been worried about how the weekend went with your daughter & SIL. You don't need the stress & somehow have to accept what is done is done. If your Hubby & daughter want to continue to make this a stressful, hot button issue, tell them they will have to work it out & to not include you or put you in the middle. You need to set boundries & stick to them. You can't change either one of them. All you can do is change how you deal with everything. Take yourself out of it & take care of you. That's something you can control, but you can't change the past. Your health is more important than trying to change them which is not your job, anyway. Remember love is unconditional. Hugs & Love, .Royce
I'm so sorry. Our children are our lives and I know it hurts. Hope everything improves for u. I was also diag. with CHF at 45. Same as you from a cxr. I was in shock as I am an xray tech. who knew! I now see my cardiologist every 6mos. as my mitral valve is failing. Whatever! Just to let you know you're not alone!

Good luck to your mom. I hope she does great.
I was diagnoised with heart failure in August 2005 at age 48. I thought I had a really bad cold or may be pneumonia. Luckily, my general practitioner had me get a chest x-ray before prescribing me antibiotics and decongestants. After the chest x ray I was immediately admitted to the hospital and then sent to Emory in Atlanta. I have idiopathic dilated cardiomyopathy. This has really changed my life.
I was diagnoised with heart failure in August 2005 at age 48. As it turns out part of my problem is a Preventricular Contraction that causes my heart to be much less efficient. Obviously, I am at risk for sudden heart rhythm problems or I wouldn't have the ICD.
I have been diagnoised with spondiolythesis. I had lumbar fusion surgery and decompresion. I am still in pain but hopefully within the next year it will be greatly improved. The pain did not improve, and the fusion did not work. I had a second back surgery July 2009. If this fusion takes, I will be much better.
I have a bi-ventricular pacemaker with an ICD. I am very thankful for it. Along with medications it has brought me from an ejection fraction of 10-15% in Aug. 2005 to 50% now. I was even able to have a back surgery that I have needed for years. I thought I would never be able to get it corrected. They didn't even have to turn off my pacemaker during the surgery. AMAZING! I would love to hear from others...
I had back surgery in September. I have joined the positive chronic pain group and have really enjoyed that. I have fusion of L3-4-5 with laminectomy, decompression etc. I am hoping for less and less pain as time goes by.
