Hi lovely. hope you are having a good day, sending you lots of love and hugs...XX
Shelly, thank you for your hug, I needed that! (smile) I know what it is with my son's friend. His mother was abusive and I was instrumental in helping his dad get custody of him and I have been his "Mom" ever since. He almost got married a few years ago and had asked me to dance the Mother/Son dance with him,...so I'm sure that is part of it. Of course, I know he loves me, and I,..him. I just feel awful that I let him down. I know I made the right decision (physically)--but there was an emotional side as well. My son was engaged when he died and that is always there,...this could have been HIS reception, and I was afraid of the emotion. Thanks again, Sweetie, for your concern! Hugs! Judy
Shelly, just so you don't miss it, i posted a response on the pain meds topic to you in the positive chronic pain sufferers group! I'm still working on posts for pain and weight loss (BOO!! lol!) xo mary beth

I was diagnoised with heart failure in August 2005 at age 48. I thought I had a really bad cold or may be pneumonia. Luckily, my general practitioner had me get a chest x-ray before prescribing me antibiotics and decongestants. After the chest x ray I was immediately admitted to the hospital and then sent to Emory in Atlanta. I have idiopathic dilated cardiomyopathy. This has really changed my life.
I was diagnoised with heart failure in August 2005 at age 48. As it turns out part of my problem is a Preventricular Contraction that causes my heart to be much less efficient. Obviously, I am at risk for sudden heart rhythm problems or I wouldn't have the ICD.
I have been diagnoised with spondiolythesis. I had lumbar fusion surgery and decompresion. I am still in pain but hopefully within the next year it will be greatly improved.
I have a bi-ventricular pacemaker with an ICD. I am very thankful for it. Along with medications it has brought me from an ejection fraction of 10-15% in Aug. 2005 to 50% now. I was even able to have a back surgery that I have needed for years. I thought I would never be able to get it corrected. They didn't even have to turn off my pacemaker during the surgery. AMAZING! I would love to hear from others...
I had back surgery in September. I have joined the positive chronic pain group and have really enjoyed that. I have fusion of L3-4-5 with laminectomy, decompression etc. I am hoping for less and less pain as time goes by.
