Sometimes there can be beauty in the simplist of all things

And joy can be found in the pleasure that life brings

Sometimes when the sun shines on the dew upon the grass

You see an enchantment like the fairy tales of the past.

When you hear a child's laughter mingled in the breeze

You know that you must treasure all the moments like these.

If the wind howls and thunder snarles out of doors

And you listen to the music while you do life's chores,

And in the boughs and branches of the tree outside the pane,

You hear the mother bird chirp as she does the same.

You begin to understand that the joys of parenthood

Aren't always in the moments you remember as you should.

Sometimes it's the small things that make a child's life complete,

And not just toys and presents and pleasant things to eat.

The small joys can be found in watching a garden grow

Or holding that same little one as you watch the falling snow.

There are moonlit walks for lovers, but children can also love the night,

And a few moments of your time can make the whole world bright.

Pink and yellow blossoms make a kitchen smell as it should,

And a second of your time in praise makes them want to be good.

When you take a moment for your child in each busy day,

It lets them know you love them, and helps them find their way

Through a world that's frought with dangers everywhere you turn.

So take a moment with them and listen as they learn.

There is a gentle music in the breezes swaying through the trees,

And a wonderful lesson in nurturing from bees.

If you watcha gardener as he is talking to us blooms

You will find a message you can take into your homes.

There is a simple melody in the earth as it turns,

And there is a bit of harmony in the wonders of the ferns.

So take the time to make it right when you see your children through.

And remember that they always learn the most from watching you.
