Hello, I am also a cancer patient. Have done chemo,lumptectomy,mastectomy and now radiation.I am 1/2 way done. Have a total of 30 treatmens. Then reconstruction. I found it myself and have been in treatments for over 7 months. I am actually beginning to see the light at the end of the tunnel. I want to go back to work and get my life back.. Would you like to be my friend?????

Close Breast Cancer
I am 44 years old , and I got breast cancer when I was 41. I discovered it while on my 3rd try with the IVF procedure. I had a lump on my right breast and had a masectomy and removal of a few lumph nodes though they were not affected. I had an infiltratig ductal carcinoma of the breast of 1cm in larger diameter, of mean differentiation, malignancy grade 2 of Bloom Richadson,with accompanying extended in situ ductal carcinoma of intermediate nuclear atypia of ethmoid and papillary type.
Treatments
- Chemotherapy Working / Worked
- I had 6 chemotherapy treatments with Methotrexate I think, but I know they were light since I did not loose my hair at all. It was mostly a precaution my oncologist said.
- Mastectomy Considering
- I had a total masectomy withoug reconstruction. It was very painfull since I was thin with small breasts. I want to do reconstruction but I am afraid to until now.
- Methotrexate Working / Worked
- Nolvadex Too Soon to Tell
- I am on Nolvadex since October 2005 and I have dizziness, lack of sexual interest , vaginal dryness, hot flashes, sweatting alot and an irregular period every 40 or so days. I am also a smoker and I am trying to quit but I am a very anxious person and every day I postpone it.
