Thanks, I'll be calling Derek on Tuesday to learn more. Actually, I'm in Maine this weekend with Flo, it's Common Ground Fair weekend, and the call came after I was already on my way here. John called Derek back to let him know I'm still interested in the job, and yes, 7-10 or 7-11 a few evenings a week would be great and not conflict with my primary job. I see where that may mean a few nights short on sleep if I have to get up at 5:30 the next morning, but I can live with that and make up for it later. Money hasn't been discussed, and that's fine. I know it won't be a fortune, but it's going to make a difference in our lives. We'll be able to save up for another car for John before his flunks inspection irreparably next summer, and I can start saving for the dental work that I think about all the time.
Things are in the works in your life that are going to help you, too, so long as you just get through each today. Hang in there.

Close Bereavement
Type: Loss of a ParentOn March 7th 2008 my mother died. She hadn't been sick long but she was on a respirator and her kidneys failed. There was nothing left to do. April 15 2008 I lost my job. My boss wouldn't say why, but she'd had it in for me for a long time. I always showed up on time and did my job.It was never good enough though Been adrift for almost a year now.
Treatments
- Crying Working / Worked
- I feel better after a good cry but I have asthma and it wreaks havoc on that.
- Pets Somewhat Helpful
- My youngest cat is very sensitive to my moods. When I'm upset she comes over and insists on getting in my lap and purring loudly.
- Support from Friends & Family Working / Worked
- Support has dwindled now. I only hear from my closest friends these days. I used to send messgaes to the others but since they don't answer any more I gave up on that.
