Manic Can Be Good Mood

When I'm managable manic, meaning I can sit still long enough to read more than one sentence at a time, I read self-help books. My favorites are The Healing Power of the Mind by Tulku Thondup, The Power of Now by Eckhart, The Sacred Path of the Warrior by Trungpa, *Success Through A Positive Mental Attitude by Napoleon Hill, How to Win People and Influence People by Dale Carnegie, *Succeed and Grow Rich Through Persuasion.

 

Today I'm rereading The Magic of your Mind by US Anderson. There are several more books. I read the ones that help me over and over. They make me feel like I have some power over my life. And sometimes, I actually do learn from the books. I have to take baby steps, but I'll be damned if I let this crappy illness get the best of me.

 

It's hard to believe anything positive will happen when you're depressed so take advantage of the medium manic phases and try to ground yourself in the fact that you do have hope. You can survive. You will survive. You will have a good life. You will attain your goals. That's what I tell myself.
