Close Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS)
I was first diagnosed with PCOS in 2002, and it's been an uphill battle. In fact, right now, it's almost worse than it's ever been. Sometimes I think I'm never going to get healthy again.
Treatments
- Metformin Too Soon to Tell
- I'm not sure it's working, but I did know that the first month I took it, I felt nauseated.
- Oral Contraceptives Somewhat Helpful
- It regulated my periods when I was on it, but everything resumed abnormally when I went off it.
Close Depression
Type: Clinical (Major) DepressionI was first officially diagnosed with depression when I was 21, although my doctor thought it dated back at least to 12. I'm a fourth-generation diagnosed, and it can be rough going. I'm on medication for the rest of my life, but I'm a much nicer, happier person that way!

Open Abstinence & Celibacy
I made a pledge when I was 14 to myself and God to remain abstinent.
