your reply in DA to the Lay down and Die Post was one of the best responses I have seen to this topic. I am almost 60, and, like you have read a lot of books. You are right. It is not your fault. Whose fault is heart disease or cancer? I can take loving action. I can choose what I think about. I can be with others. I am not alone. All of this and more you shared in that post. Bless you for that. We are better than we think we are.

Close Physical & Emotional Abuse
I was emotionally, psychologically, and verbally abused as a child. My entire reality was that I was "not supposed to be here." It has been very difficult for me to expect anything good in life knowing that I "don't deserve it."
