Close Fibromyalgia
I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia in 2003. It just seems to get worse, even tho they say it's not a degenerative disease. It's just now being recognized, and that's exciting, but still insufficient treatments. I'd like to hear your treatments and opinions!
Treatments
- Cyclobenzaprine Somewhat Helpful
- Is somewhat helpful on muscle tension, but not for every day use in my opinion
- Cymbalta Not Working
- Did not work at ALL.
- Duragesic Patch Somewhat Helpful
- it helped, but then they consider you a drug addict and take you off..so why bother??
- Elavil Working / Worked
- Did help with preventing migraines
- Guaifenesin Somewhat Helpful
- Did seem to help for a while, then didn't anymore. Had to keep raising the doses.
- Heat Somewhat Helpful
- Temporary at best.
- Lyrica Not Working
- Wow, talk about being a living dead girl! I couldn't hardly function on it.
- Morphine Somewhat Helpful
- Yea, but who wants to be half dead with a 5 year old to raise? Ugh!
- Ultram Somewhat Helpful
- It does help, but I can't do number 2 at all with this stuff~!

Open Chronic Fatigue Syndrome
Hi all. I have been dx'd with CFS since about 1996, and Fibro since 2004. The CFS seems to be worsening. I just read the story about Kolonopin, but am a recovering addict from pain meds, so am afraid to take anything that resembles addiction! Thanks!

- DHEA Too Soon to Tell
- Not sure if it's working...Fibro can make it hard to "fix" anything.
- Lexapro Not Working
- Didn't seem to help me too much, bothered my stomach
- Pain Management Clinic Working / Worked
- This did work, but I found myself addicted to pain meds. I just deal with the pain now, or use over the counter pain relievers.
- Zoloft Working / Worked
- Can't live without it! However, I feel like it makes me tired...but I have tried to go off it, and the withdrawals are excruciating.
- Sleep Working / Worked
- We all know theres never enough but I wonder how those of us without disposable incomes can manage to get the rest we need!
