*SQUEEZE* Welcome to DS and the BP room! How are you?
Hug
Just wanted to welcome you. I know how u feel I worked full time and coached cheerleading, did volunteer work, well u know the story.... Now I am doing good to walk. This site is full of ppl who understand and go thru the same things everyday. The support and friendships I have made on here have helped me more than any of the meds. LOL Just knowing that the person I am talking to really knows how I feel without having to explain helps me. Mainly because most ppl don't have a clue what chronic pain is really like. But we keep fighting with all we have and come here for support and friendship. Just to help each other thru the day. I hope you are finding both. Hope you have a good day. :) Hugs

I hear you I used to go to the gym too and exercise then swim the resistance pool for 30 minutes. Well now I sit in the hot tub and then walk around the resistance pool. Yes I am a member or the water aerobics gals. Lord... but it helps so I do it. Keeps muscles from totality turning to mush. hugs pink

Close Migraine Headaches
I've had migraines, that i know were migraines, for the past 15 years. Compounding that is occipital neuralgia, which for those of you who don't have the pleasure of having it, is like having a dibilitating migraine that never goes away. What fun!Prolotherapy is working wonders on the O.N. though!
Treatments
- Avoid Certain Foods / Chemicals Working / Worked
- a must. no hot dogs, wine, margaritas, perfumes are a killer
- Caffeine Working / Worked
- A staple
- Excedrin Working / Worked
- In a pinch...never totally gets it though
- Fiorinol Working / Worked
- used to dull the pain- gave this up for imitrex years ago
- Imitrex Working / Worked
- first the injections then the pills. Moved on to Frova
- Topamax Working / Worked
- currently on this...works wonders at reducing frequency..makes ya a little stupid though
- Frova Working / Worked
- works great esp if you catch the migraine at the onset. Also good for those menstrual migraines
- Prolotherapy Working / Worked
- so far so good...but extremely painful
Close Arrhythmias
Type: TachycardiaLong story short, I was rushed to the ER with what the medics thought was a heart attack...had all the symptoms. Stayed the weekend & found I had AV nodal re-entrant tachychardia. Had 2 radio frequency abalations done...the first one fixed the AVNRT but gave me IST. The second time they couldnt get my heart to act up so they didnt do anything! I cant tolerate meds so i live with the occasional craziness.
Treatments
- Radiofrequency Ablation Working / Worked
- first one worked on the AVNRT but gave me IST. second time the didnt ablate b/c they couldnt find the right spot.
