My motto in life is to never ever give up! I am a single mom of a wonderful son who has brought me so much joy and inspired me to be a better person. I believe in the one true God who has blessed me so much and know He is in control of everything! I rely on His strength and mercy day to day. After 6 months of tx I was positive and had to stop. Doctor rechecked it again 9/17 and it came back negative. This is crazy!! I guess I'll see what happens with my 6 month post tx test. Great news, the results are in and I am negative! I was genotype 3a and I heard that is the better one to have and I had a low viral load. So maybe all of this accounted for the results and lots of prayer. Thank you God.....

I found out I had HCV in 2004 when I gave blood. It scared me to death! But after doing some research I found out that it is not that bad. I was a wild, rebellious teen who had no direction and did some pretty stupid stuff such as IV drugs. I look back and think "You Idiot!" I lost my parents when I was a child and was pretty much on my own at 16. But God is good and this has only made me a better person. I would not be who I am if I had not been thru so much!
Treatments
- Interferon, pegylated Working / Worked
- Positive at 6 months but have no regrets in doing treatment. Re-tested and it came back negative. 6 months post tx came back negative!!
