Good luck on the job, that's great! It will keep you busy I'm sure. I'm doing alright. I was just promoted about a week ago to a Manager Trainee position at a store I have worked for just a little over 16 years, why I added the extra stress, I'm still trying to figure that out, ha, ha. I rec. a very short e-mail from Mike about two days ago, I hadn't heard from him in over a week I know that he is back in Iraq/Kuwait and was just letting me know he loved me, he was alright and he hoped he would be able to call soon. How are things going with your husband? Did he leave for his deployment to Kuwait yet? Take care, hugs.. Dora

    • Close Bereavement
      Type: Loss of a Parent

I am mourning the loss of my Mom who passed 2 days after Thanksgiving last year (2007). She passed unexpectedly, but peacefully in her sleep at the nursing home she had been living in for about 9 months. She was 64. She was on dialysis for 10 years. My husband and I along with our 3 girls moved away from our home town 18 months ago. Leaving my Mom was the hardest thing I had to do. Family stepped in to help care for her, but she was never the same, I was never the same. I miss her immensely

    • Close Military Families

I am married to a soldier in the Army National Guard. He is a full-timer and we are preparing for his 2nd tour to the middle east. In '04 he went to Iraq, he and his unit was gone for 18 months. Now in the Summer, he will deploy to Kuwait for appx 15 months. We live in a new town, and I don't know any of the other families yet, so I hope the FRG is friendily bunch. Looking for support. Aloha - Kim
