So, I had an appointment with my rheumy today and got results from my biopsy. It did not show lupus inconclusive as the test only show imflammatory …
Diagnosed in February 2008 with polymyositis with an underlying factor of lupus. Haven't worked full time since February 2007 had carpel tunnel release surgery on both wrists with no relief or improvement. Didn't think it was a big deal since I've been in the administrative field for the past 20 years. Went back to work part-time until I could work back my way back to full time, never happened. Went through a work hardening program for 16 weeks, some days, I could barely walk, during this time, my feet started giving me problems and I was told that I was flat footed to get some arch support, this helped for awhile. Started a new assignment the middle January, worked a week and loved it! Woke up one morning in so much pain, called out of work, told them I wouldn't be coming back. The pain passed, started another full time assignment the beginning of February lasted a week. On my way to work, had to stop and catch my breath and take a rest because I was tired and out of breath. On Friday, February 8th had a doctor's appointment told her how I had been feeling. She ordered a chest x-ray and blood work and my Monday, February 11th she was calling me to be admitted into the hospital!!! CPK over 10, 000 and other markers showing something was definetely wrong! Here I am 7 months later, diagnosed with polymyositis with SLE, haven't worked since, just started receiving disability benefits....wondering what do I do now? And if that's not enough, I am divorced, mother of three, one grandson. I left my ex in October 2004 and am still dealing with custody, visitation, the sale of the marital property. It's crazy. I'm so tired and don't see this coming to an end until our youngest is 18. During custody hearing, he had our daughter -16yo (now almost 18) lie to the judge making me look like I was an unfit mother and she had to do everything for my son. When in actuality, that is how it is for her living with her father. In short, the court awarded full legal custody to my ex, we have shared physical and I'm supposed to have them every weekend which hasn't happened since June. He is now planting a lie in my son's head to say he was sexually abused at my house and is now scared to stay overnight with me. I'm so tired of the lies, but the courts just don't seem to see. I have been harrassed, car vandalized, with letters left on my property from him and the court does nothing. What is justice? I have no faith in the system anymore. It's hurts so much to be without my children, but I guess I'll have to wait for God to fix it, but the courts apparently can't. Finally, my Dad who is 83 had a stroke back in July and was also diagnosed with lung cancers. So I try to help my other three sisters take care of him. I can't do much, but I go by and get his laundry, take out trash and see if he needs anything from the store while I'm out. I just wish I could do more, but some days, I'm barely able to get out of bed. I also take care of paying his bills. Just wish I could do more for him. My doctors say "keep your stress level down", it's impossible to do with everything that's going on! HELP!!!!

Thinking back now….
Knowing what I know now has been like putting pieces of a puzzle together. My hands starting bothering me in …
Thank you for being such a great friend. I'm sorry to hear that you've been down lately, too. I'm here to talk, if you ever want to chat. Take care. Hugs to you.
Thanks for your advice
I read your profile and just want to give you a warm hug!!!
Good luck with your appointment. I hope you can find a way to have regular appointments with your Rheumy. You need to be cared for. I just found out that my IVIG treatments are not working and I will be starting some new meds soon. I have been feeling very weak. Hard to get out of chairs or to walk across a parking lot. Very dissapointing. But we must keep on keeping on anyway. Peace, Jane
Weird things starting happening to my body over the past couple of years. Started with hands, then my feet, the legs just gave out on my one day and I fell flat on my face. My legs continued to get weaker and weaker. Because of my job situation, did have health insurance until Jan. 2008. Made an appointment with my doctor, she drew blood, did chest x-rays and urine on 2/8/08. Monday 2/11/08 she called me and told me I needed to be admitted for more tests because of the muscle enzyme level.
Pain in wrists started back in Dec. 05, had surgery in Feb. 07 on right and Apr. 07 on left.
Divorced since September 2006. Ex had our 16 year old daughter (18 next month), lie to the judge, promised to buy her a car in return, to make me look like an unfit parent. Full legal custody was awarded to him, shared physical custody, I have to pay child support. All I did was leave a controlling, mentally and sometimes physically abusive relationship. He has turned my children against me, also have a son almost 10. He continues to cx visits and is lying about my son being sexually abused.
Recently diagnosed with RD along with polymyositis and SLE.
