I'm sorry to hear about your pain you feel for your dad. My husband had cancer and I too got to watch him waste away when all I wanted to do was curl up beside him and take his pain away. I tried to do all I could to get him to eat or drink and it just wasn't enough. My heart and prayers go out to you.

Close Lung Cancer
Dad is 80 yrs old. Mom is 75yrs. They have worked hard and lived frugally all of their 57 years of marriage. Dad had a stroke 6 yrs ago left-side impaired. Mom has been the primary caregiver with help off and on from Home Health/Hospice. Oct 1, 2007, another stroke-right side impairment. In the ER they found suspicious spot on Lung xray. 15 days later, we were sent home with Hospice and NSCLC upper Left Lung, no treatment, palliative care until death, weighed 128#, now weighs 90#.
