    • About Me

Currently a student and working part-time. I study Fine Arts and Humanities. I love(d) dancing (ballroom and swing), singing, art, film, guitar/violin/flute, theatre, literature, nature, history, and people who are genuine and kind. I was diagnosed with RA & TMJ about a year ago after several months of pain and confusion during my first semester at a new university. Still trying to figure out how to cope. I hope this helps. :)

    • Close Rheumatoid Arthritis

Diagnosed about a year ago with RA. Loved dancing, hiking, guitar and just having energy. College student who wants to meet others with the disease and hopefully relieve some of the stress, depression, and frustration I've been feeling lately.

    • Close TMJ

Diagnosed with TMJ a year ago. I was taking voice lessons and the excessive singing caused severe pain that lasted for months. It was painful to chew, talk, laugh, and especially sing. I had to stop taking lessons and to a great degree, stop singing. I was very depressed about it. The doctors I saw at a student health center had no idea how to treat it and one even exacerbated the problem. Since then I have seen a TMJ specialist a physical therapist. Hope I can get back into voice training.

      Treatments

      Mouthguard Working / Worked
Has helped a TON. Still have pain but greatly reduced. I still have to be careful about not talking too much, laughing too much, or singing. Looking for more solutions!
