Open Diverticulitis

I had a colonoscopy over 5 yrs ago and was diagnosed with diverticulitis. I still don't understand this problem and nothing was suggested as a way to keep it from happening except to not eat nuts, seeds, popcorn, etc. This has still bothered me for years and I wish there was something I could do to prevent this. Any ideas from anyone???

Open GERD & Heartburn

I have problems with heartburn. I don't like to take too many calcium carbonate products because our stomachs don't break it down and can cause kidney stones. Need a natural relief if available.

Open Breakups & Divorce

I have been married twice, the first time for 17 years to a control freak. The second time for 6 years and he left for someone on the internet. I was left with nothing but my car from the first marriage because I was too young to know anything about divorce and again let him control that too. Now after all the hurt, guilt and anger.. I am a much better person and a happier one. It seems to take forever to heal but we all do. Don't wallow in self-pity..it just takes longer to heal that way.

Family Therapy Not Working

Did family therapy for 2 years on the first marriage..didn't work. The 2nd marriage husband just faked through it all and even admitted it afterwards. What a jerk!

Support from Friends & Family Working / Worked

If I hadn't had my family and friends to help me through this I would have just stayed a bitter, angry person and that's just not me!

Open Menopause

I was on Premarin since I was 40. Now am 61 and doctor took me off of it because of negative issues regarding it. I feel fine but I still have those dang hot flashes and cold sweats at night. I don't know what to try for it anymore. I am taking Estroven now but don't notice any changes yet. Any suggestions?? Thanks! Viv

Open Diets & Weight Maintenance

Since I quit smoking I gained 40 lbs., and now I have another thing to worry about, losing these lbs. My stomach just ballooned out and I look like I am a big pregnant 61 year old. hahahah! Well, I HATE exercise and just won't do it. I do love to walk and ride my bike, but none of that seems to work. I think I am constantly stressed because of my move out here to be with my daughters and granddaughters, but I seem to worry about them more since I moved here than when I wasn't living here.

Didn't even phase me. Maybe I needed to be on it longer than a month, but I felt nothing and lost nothing.

Open High Cholesterol

I was taking Lipitor for 3 months and it drastically lowered my bad cholesterol but it is so expensive. I had no side affects either. Now I am taking overthecounter meds and have to go to the doctor for blood test to see if these have worked at all.

Open Dizziness & Vertigo

I get dizzy every year and it really worried me. I thought it related to my heart, but I went to an ear, nose & throat specialist and he said it was from allergies/sinuses being stuffed up and backed up into my ear which would cause my dizziness. He prescribed Clarinex, haven't taken it in several years now, but it did work. My dizziness happened when I laid down, stood up, bent over, etc. Dr. said it was seasonal due to allergies/sinuses.

The Clarinex really worked. I still keep some around if it comes back again. Have taken Benydrl also and it seemed to have helped.

Open Kidney Stones

I have been in and out of the hospital with kidney stones and due for lithotripsy treatment next week. Was hoping to hear from others with same problem.
