Close Chronic Pain
I'm a kidney transplant patient with Fibromyalsia. I use a cane most of the time, and when the pain is really bad, I use a wheelchair. Coping with the restrictions in my life has been fairly recent and I am having a hell of a time coping. Stress impacts me the most, and I seem to be a stress-magnet.
Treatments
- Chiropractic Adjustment Somewhat Helpful
- Flexeril Working / Worked
- Helps me sleep, but cannot use it during the day.
- Heat Somewhat Helpful
- Helps to take the edge off. Works best on my neck and shoulders.
- Marijuana Working / Worked
- This is the only thing that can take the pain completely. It only lasts a little while, but sometimes, that is all the relief I need.

- Side effects were not problematic.

Open Fibromyalgia
After I got all my health problems diagnosed and reasonably treated, I was diagnosed with Fibro, which includes all the other health problems I have. Fibro sucks the big one, and my coping skills are not all that they could be.
Treatments
- Acupressure Working / Worked
- For acute pain, or just because it hurts so good.
- Adderall Working / Worked
- Works for the confusion and fogginess of Fibromyalgia, but was prescribed for ADD.
- Aqua Therapy Working / Worked
- In a heated pool, I am free from my syndrome. In the water I can fly, and not feeling like an achy cripple is the icing on the cake.
- Cyclobenzaprine Working / Worked
- Works great with a pain pill added. As long as I plan to fall fast asleep in the next 20 minutes or so.
- Heat Working / Worked
- On really achy, painful, stressed-out muscles, heat therapy is better than sex.
- Ultram Working / Worked
- Does nothing by itself. But, when you take 2 Extra Strength Tylenols 4 times a day, a considerable amount of pain relief can be enjoyed.
