I have Biplar-disorder and PTSD. I am married for 23 years and I have 3 grown children.I am a house wife.I can not work anymore because of my Illness.Tragedy hit me very badly in late October 2005.I was in the hospital for 6 weeks It is not always easy but I take it one day at a time.I love classical music.I love to help people who need help and be there for others.I am a good listener. I adore children mine are all grown up and on their own. My family means everything to me. I thank God for all my Blessings every day. One of my favorite Saying is "Every Day is a new Beginning" and my second one is " Don't ever give up Hope or Faith or you may not have anything to live for "

My hobbies are music, writing, reading, my computer , nature , watching movies, walking whenever I can. I love to spend time with my little granddaughter, talking to my friends here on DS.

I have been having a very hard time.
I never did have much faith, as your profile information says is important.
I do think I lost most of my " hope " over the weekend.
Saturday was the worst day I have had for a very long time.
Today...I felt a slight change. I felt a little better.
I am still in dire straits, but almost anything is better than yesterday and the days before it.
I just came on to DS before going to bed.
I had not intended to do so.
There was your prayer.
Something helped me.
Just maybe it was your kind and caring prayer.

Close Bipolar Disorder
In 2005 I was diagnosed with Bipolar.I've been on many medications.None of them helped me. Now I am on Ativan and on Topamax.

Close Bereavement
I've lost 3 family members in 2001 all in a very short time My Stepdad died of prostate cancer. Only 5 weeks later my Mom died... I flew to Germany to attend my Mom's funeral. Only one week after my Mom's funeral my Stepmom died.I was in total shock... In summer of 2002 I lost my Baby. My life has never been the same...

Open Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder
I was diagnosed with PTSD in late 2005. I was very abused when I was a small child from the age of 4yrs till I was 18 yrs old.I was raped when I was 17 years old and I was molested by my childhood doctor.

- Psychotherapy Working / Worked
- I am in theray for a little over 2 years.It's helping me a lot.
- Topamax Working / Worked
- I am on Topamax and it's helping me.It's a mood stabilizer.
Open Diabetes Type 1
My Husband was diagnosed with Diabetes about 10 years ago. He is on Insulin.He has to take 2 Insulin shots every day and he is also on other medications.
Open High Cholesterol
High Cholesterol is in our family .I was diagnosed with this Illeness about 6 months ago and my doctor put me on Lipitor.
Open Asthma
Type: OtherI was prescribed an Inhaler today and Atrovent HFA
