Well, on august 12 I went in for a 'pain shot'. This was done by a DR. who specializes in 'pain control'. The first two days were like nothing happened. On the third and fourth days I felt a small improvement which has continued as long as I continue with the Lyrica and Neurontin, although he has advised me to start cutting down on Neurontin until I am off completely, which I am doing. Just taking the100mgs. of Lyrica three times a day and cymbalta, 30mgs twice a day. I will be getting another shot next month.
I still have a lot of pain but I find I can function longer than before, cold packs help too.
Will let you know what happens after the next shot. I have now had this PHN 24/7 for 21 months.
