About Me
I am a widow, my husband passed away in July of 06. I live alone with my min pin, Flash. I am self-employed. Part of my home, two rooms, have been a small retail store for 30 years. I am in the process of phasing the store out as I have not been well since my husband of 58 years became ill a;nd passed away.. I am very lucky as I have a daughter and a son, both married, who live not too far away. They and their spouses have been very helpful to me. I thank God for them.

Interests
I love to work in my garden when I am able to. I also like to read, do puzzles, I do some volunteer work, would do more if it was'nt for this phn pain which is with me 24/7.

Close Shingles
In November of 06 I broke out with shingles, left side of my back, around waist, underneath my ribs. I went to the E.R. and was given a prescription, zovirax, five pills a day for 10 days. The shingles finally went, but not the pain, I have had phn since then and still suffer greatly with pain, pinch, stab, burn, worse across the middle. I walk bent over, arms across my middle, not able to wear a bra. How long does this last? Can not enjoy what's left of life.Have pain 24/7.
Treatments
- Lyrica Working / Worked
- I take 100mg three times a day-does not get rid of pain completely, makes it tolerable.Side effects are swelling ankles and hands, light headed, sleepy.
- Neurontin Working / Worked
- I take 600 mgs three times a day, I take it with the Lyrica, same thing, makes pain tolerable. Also makes me sleepy dizzy,
