    • Close Carcinoid Syndrome

My husband was diagnosed with neuroendocrine tumors almost 5 years ago. The first four years were okay but this last year things have begun to fall apart. He has been on onctreotide all the while, has had radiation and is now on aggresive chemotherapy. The cancer is located in the head of the pancreas and all over his liver. We have a 7 year old daughter. My husband no longer works, I work full time and try to make ends meet. I guess that is my short story.

      Treatments

      Octreotide Not Working
Octreotide worked for a couple of years but now is used to help regulate my husbands sugar levels as he has diabetes as a side effect of the cancer.
