I am considering going to school. I would love to be a stenographer. I have always been interested in the law, and especially other peoples "dirty laundry". I have a lot of reservations the biggest one is my age. I am 50 years old and know I will be surrounded by muich younger people. The second one is that it takes 2 years of full time schooling. I would qualify for a Pell Grant. I do believe everything would be paid for. The school is only 45 minuites away from my home and I could go during the day while Hannah is at school and I could still work evenings. I just am so undecided about it. I do know that I can not keep on waiting tables. It is physically becoming a problem. My ankles, and knees hurt all the time!!!! I have been doing this since I was 16 years old. Court reporters make really good money. I would love to be able to travel, buy stuff, and take care of Hannah in a better way she is in those very important teenage years. I have always been getting by from paycheck to paycheck.....Court reporters make 35,000 for part time work up to 75,000 full time. I can not imagine making that kind of money....I just want to be able to take a vacation once a year, take care of my mom, and improve our quality of life.....Any input would be appreciated especailly anyone who knows how this career is or klnows someone who is already in it.....Thanks a bunch.....

I think it's a great idea, and you are not too old, really.
