    • About Me

I am a single mom raised the children practically by myself. The fathers were non existant, more like deadbeat dads. I have had a lot of joy and heartache in my life. I choose to learn from all lifes experiences. I love my kids, grandkids, my family and friends.I have recently battled breast cancer. I am in remission, doing the followup appointments. I did the chemo, surgeries and radiation. I am blessed beyond my wildest dreams...I am a hard worker, and an even harder player at this game we call life.....

    • Close Breast Cancer

I found a lump in my breast in June of 2007. I have been diligent about selfexams, a family history of females cancers. I have already done the chemo, lumpectomy, masectomy, and now radiation. My hair is starting to grow again. A little bit if information to share with anyone who needs it. I couldnt afford a prosthesis. So I use a ziplockbaggie of peanutbutter. It take a little bit of fiddling with but it works wonderfully. I put mine in a leg of panyhose and into my bar.

      Treatments

      Arimidex Too Soon to Tell
      Chemotherapy Too Soon to Tell
It did shrink the tumor but a lumpectomy we still have cancerous cells
      Mastectomy Too Soon to Tell
My mastectomy surgery was a success as far as the act of surgery but I still have to do radiation
      Radiotherapy Too Soon to Tell
Still undergoing I am on my 8 treatment out of 30. My side affect is tiredness
      Reconstructive Surgery Considering
I would like to hear from others who have already had reconstrutive surgery
