I went to see my OBGYN on Wednesday only to find out that he wasn't there. I was told at the front desk that he had an emergency so I would be seeing a nurse practitioner instead. WHAT THE HECK!!!! WHY NOT CALL ME AND RESCHEDULE MY APPOINTMENT INSTEAD!!!??!! I asked why someone didn't call me to reschedule and the answer I got was I don't know. What kind of answer is that? I saw the nurse practitioner anyways since my friend had taken me all the way there, but there wasn't anything she could do to help me. She was going to put me on birth control to get the bleeding under control just so I could have some relief from all this bleeding, but my general med doctor told her that I can't take any hormones until my tryglycerides come down dramatically. So I have to continue to suffer from this horrible bleeding problem until my tryglycerides come down. Speaking of bleeding, it go heavier again tonight. UUGGHHH!!!! WHEN WILL IT END!!!!!
I had to have blood taken out again today(fasting bloodwork). My doctor ordered to have my tryglyceride level checked again. I'm hoping they came down as much as needed so I can get on birth control. I'VE HAD ENOUGH OF THIS BLEEDING ALREADY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm feeling depressed again today. And I can't even get help for the depression. I'm still waiting to see a rheumatologist. I don't understand why MSI(state health insurance---going to see specialists always has to be approved by MSI before I can go see one) keeps denying my general med doctor's request to send me to a rheumy for fibro treatment. I was planning to ask the rheumy I'm hoping to get to see soon to give me a fibro med that doesn't just help pain but also helps depression. Since MSI doesn't cover mental health I have to ask for fibro treatment that also helps depression instead. Which is ok, but I hope the antidepressant part is strong enough for me. Please pray that MSI approves my doctor's request to send me to see a rheumy.

Call and ask your dr or np about calling in longterm provera which is a progesterone. It is excreted by your ovaries every month. It should be ok to take. it will trick your body into thinking its in a pseudo pregnancy state and should stop the bleeding as long as you take it daily. Dont let them just give 10 days worth. you wanna take it all month long. another thing is progesterone cream from a health food store.
Is the bleeding heavy? or moderate or like spotting? does it require more than one pad or tampon a hour? if so ask your dr about doing a dnc and putting you on progesterone. Have you tried mirena IUD? it has a low dose progesterone thats emitted slowly over 5 years. its a iud and is used to help with endo and prevent pregnancy. another thing may be a progesterone only pill. Your dr is probably more concerned by the amount of estrogen in the birth control pills which can lead to stroke, etc. With endo your estrogen levels can be higher than normal. You dont want to add more estrogen because that feeds endo and will make your issues worse. Provera is really cheap its on the 4-9.00 list at walmart. I cant remember how much I paid for 30 pills. I just took 10 mg daily i think was the milligram amount. With provera you will experience sore breasts, and possibly some moodliness and weepiness. kinda like pms symptoms. I am so sorry your going thru this. can you change dr's to one who will perform a laporascopic surgery and get to the root of your issue? also fibroids can cause nonstop bleeding. how old are you again? another thing you may want to consider if your older and done having children is a supracervical hysterectomy. you keep your cervix, tubes, ovaries and ditch the uterus. no more cramps, bleeding etc. while i am sad i never got to have my 3rd baby I am glad i dont deal with painful periods and cramps to the point i spend 2 days curled up in ball in tears vomiting profusely from the pain.
