Here I am again Mood
Friday, October 9, 2009

Well, I had to go in for a pap today...my annual one of course.  Ugh...every pap I've had always hurt and that's not normal...I think I have my OBGYN concerned.  And while I was there I got my ultrasound results.  Well, wasn't bad news, but they did find something small on one side of my uterus that could possibly be a fibroid tumor.  MY OBGYN IS FINALLY GOING TO DO A LAPROSCOPY TO CHECK FOR ENDOMETRIOSIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! All I've got to say to that is...IT'S ABOUT TIME!!!!!!!!!!!  She is also going to do another test to check for pollyps.  Woohoo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Gee, I'm so happy she's finally going to check me for endo...isn't that sad?  lol.  Well, at least she is doing it and I will finally know if that's why I was bleeding so much.  Since MSI(state health insurance program) has to approve both tests, I have no idea when the tests will be done.  It could take a couple of weeks to finally get an approval...we'll see.  Hopefully I can get these tests done quickly.

Well, I have more good news.  I have another lawyer and this one seems to be very good.  I've been sent legal documents to sign and disability papers to fill out.  I'm sooo excited I can hardly wait for the phone interview.  Speaking of paperwork I need to get busy and fill it out ASAP.  I'm going to try to fill out as much as I possibly can tonight.

Well, that's all the news I can think of right now other than I still hurt from the pap I had this morning.

I'll keep ya'll posted when I find out when I will be getting both tests done.

I am so glad for you that the doctor is taking you seriously and going to run tests. Glad to hear about the lawyer too.

Update Mood
Monday, September 7, 2009

I know this update is late, but I've been too busy playing computer games and video games...lol.  I've also had more doctors appointments and tests.

The bleeding seems to finally be under control.  Woohoo!!!!!!  My OBGYN put me on another birth control that seems to actually be working.  I'm very happy for the relief finally, but now I need help getting rid of the cramps from hell that come with the periods I'm supposed to have during the reminder pills.  I've tried ibroprofeen at prescription dosages, and prescription naproxen...nothing helps.  My current OBGYN said the only thing I could try now is codine and I'm a bit leary of that since I'm very sensitive to meds.  If it's as strong as Lortab, then there is absolutely no way I can take it....it would be way too strong for me to handle.  Ugh...what to try now?  And there is still no diagnosis as to what was causing the bleeding problem.  I've had every test they can give me that I know of, but my OBGYN is still unwilling to check me for endometriosis.  She said that if the ultrasound I will be having this week shows something wrong with the lining of my uterus then she will check me for pollyps and endometriosis.  We'll see what happens.

I'm still not on disability yet and I no longer have a lawyer to help me with my case.  I'm currently looking for another one.  If anyone knows of a disability lawyer located in Orange County, CA, please let me know.

I still am unable to get in to see a rheumatologist.  I have to appeal my doctor's referral request that got denied twice by MSI(state financial health care program).  I have to call them this week to find out how I can appeal it.

Well, that's all I can think of right now.  I will try not to make my updates so far apart.

Can't sleep Mood
Thursday, July 2, 2009

I'm having trouble falling asleep tonight.  This is the second night in a row.  I'm in a lot of pain right now which is why I'm having trouble sleeping tonight.

I just found out today that MSI(state health insurance) denied my general med's rheumatologist referral request.  This means I may not get to see one unless when I appeal they finally approve it.  I don't know what to do.  I need fibro pain med and antidepressant.  I'm going to talk to my general med doctor and see what he has to say.

The bleeding got heavier again and seems to be staying heavy instead of slowing back down.  I'm supposed to go in to see my obgyn again next wednesday.  We'll see what he has to say this time.  I hope he lets me try provera and I hope it works.  Oh, my tryglycerides came way down.  I asked my general med doctor if this means I can try hormones now and he said that it is up to my obgyn now.  We'll see what happens.

Sorry to hear about the pain and not being able to sleep. I think most of us with fibro have been there and know how frustrating it can be.
