Hi, my name is Kim! When I first came to DS, I weighed 335lbs and didn't think that was EVER going to change. You couldn't have told me then that I now weigh 79lbs less and only have 60lbs to go to my goal! I'm over the hump and am SO anxious to get to the end (a little too anxious in fact!) Everyday its still a constant battle although it seems to get easier to fight. I still have to force myself to workout and not to eat that delicious chocolate cake. My philosophy has been "It doesn't matter that you fell off the wagon. What matters most, is that you get back on!"

I love your pic! You look super cute and in shape! Congrats again on your test score!!
We weigh the same right now! I have no idea why I'm thinking about starting to get back into gear the week of Thanksgiving... but I am, lol. WE'LL SEE!
Thanks for the journal comment. :) I'm just a little nervous that I'm not maternal/nurturing enough to work with mentally disabled adults. I'm not good with children AT ALL. I'm nervous I'll have a similar reaction to the people I'd work with and they deserve better than to have some uptight awkward person trying to make their lives easier. I'm going to give it a try but I am seriously terrified I will fall flat on my face or end up hurting one of the people I'm trying to help.
=O)
Good morning :)

I have Osteoarthritis in my left knee due to a hiking injury in April '08 and I'm sure being over 300lbs when the injury occurred made things even better. I had surgery (to repair, but it didn't go as planned) in Oct. '08, still haven't gotten full range of motion back yet, still have swelling and lots of pain and I'm looking for any helpful information as to how to manage this new "lovely" condition.
