Hi folks! Well, today is our first anniversary! It was one year ago I was one lucky dude and married my Colleen. How I was so fortunate, well it had to be Heavenly Father's Blessing! I am one happy guy. We are today in my home town of Coos Bay, Oregon. We will have fun chasing bears (and maybe Bigfoot???) up here in the sticks by the sea. I know places nobody but locals know. And I know all the history. Like when Sir Francis Drake anchored in this bay: He wrote the following (in old English):"The aire here is Fowle, it stinketh mightily." Well, I'm home! In the brine and the mud and the rain. Colleen is struggling with her asthma in the motel room (circa 1937) because of the mold. And the water here she says tastes like sewage. Well, here is Colleen!!!! I love her to tears!!! God Bless!
Happy October 17th!!!
Colleen here! Well, thank goodness for Singular and an inhaler for asthma. We thought we might like to move here (maybe retire here) but I can see now, it will have to be 30 minutes inland, but that is still close to the rocky beaches. It is GORGEOUS, GORGEOUS green and lush but the moisture that causes sooooooo much mold is deadly. The water has to stored in molded tanks that Wally says are open to the air!!!
Anyway, we are off to see the sights, get a LOT of pictures of Wally's childhood memories and then get the heck out of here. We both LOVE the mountainous ocean side but NOT the moisture. We have had some unusually good weather but it looks like it may rain all day today-which is normal. I would like to see what is normal for here.
I too want to thank my Heavenly Father for joining my Wally and I together 1 year ago today. He is the 'love of my life'. We understand each other so well and our love is truly 1 in a billion. We love the way we take care of each other and we read each others minds continually. We are truly each others best friends and would gladly die for each other. He is truly a man of steel and velvet and I admire and I love him with all my heart.
We pray all of you are okay. God Bless always, Colleen and Wally

I truly truly from my heart want to wish you both off the blessings possible. I love reading abt your happiness.

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!!! You two are great and I love reading your journals! The love you share is awesome. I have one other couple on my friends list which is a younger couple that is as much in love and connected as you two are. I truly believe you all are God's gift to me in a sense that allows me to see that you truly can find your "soul connection" in this world that is becoming more and more morally decayed. I have a friend in her late 20's who just got married in February who just found out her husband was cheating on her. And another friend in her late 50's that after 39 years of marriage and the death of one of their son's, are getting a divorce. Brutal, brutal, it makes me never want to put myself out there again...but then I see you two and my other couple on my friend's list and realize that it is possible to meet the person that is right for me. You are both an inspiration and a pleasure to be associated with. Have a wonderful Anniversary...be well...L

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY --------- and many more to come.
Yes mould can be a real problem in some areas. I know we were always fighting it when I lived up in the tropics, and yes did not do asthma much good at all.
Enjoy the rest of your trip
We will be celebrating our 14 years next month and I think second time around is often better than the first.

I am so glad that you guys are so happy. John and I are planning our 35th wedding anniversary trip. It will be a trip to the West Virginia Mountains to hunt whitetail deer. Even though our anniversary is in February, we won't be taking our trip until November next year. But it is something that I can work on planning.
Watch out for those bears and for "bigfoot." I hear both can be pretty onery!!! take care and Colleen I hope your asthma is better today. Love you both. Debbie
