At some point in your eyes

I became an unintended target

The expansion of deceit

Recycled into spitfire threats

I went into battle many nights

Armored only with a naked smile

But never walked away unscathed

You put a silencer on my pleas

I couldn’t inoculate you from yourself

You’re revulsion of what you once craved

Left me laying paralyzed on the floor

My body covered in coagulated pain

I took my riddled love and crawled away

I now accede to the inevitable truth

My heart will never be safe in your presence

When you speak in bullets
