I was diagnosed with fibro 10 yrs ago.Luckily, I was very active in exercising and running proir to getting fibro and I have been able to stay active. I do not exercise as much as i used to, but i am trying to increase that also. I woked as a medical office nurse, clinical manager, phlebotomist, and I am also an EMT. I had to quit work three yrs ago due to the increased fatigue and pain. I have a daughter and a son in their 20's and a three yr old grandson. all of them still live at home. My grandson helps me keep a positive attitude and he keeps me laughing. He also helps in keeping me active.

im 47, female and have had fibro for ten yrs. i was finally diagnosed at Wake Forest after being seen by multiple doctors. it took three years and 17 doctors to finally diagnose me.i had over $300,000 worth of test and biopsies. it took another 2 yrs to get a treatment plan that allowed me to function. i am a nurse and had to quit working in 2004 due to the pain and fatigue.
I have custody of my 4 1/2 yr old grandson. Daughter ran off with a guy she met online and moved 1400 miles away. She wants him now so her guy can get a raise in his military pay!! child had behavior problems and we are seeing a therapist, but they are not much help. I am looking for support and/or suggestions. IT is hard to raise another child but at the same time it is a blessing.
