Music and friends are my life.
Here's a hug and a prayer for you.
I'm here if ya need me.....I had it in my early 20's and now I'm 41, walking and happy. I know I had a deep depression and it was one of the hardest things I've ever been through. It took over a year to recover. The last thing to come back was my smile. I had a wheelchair and cane and fell down a lot and had a few relapses, but realized I had a lot of life left to live......now I have a husband a six year old and cherish each and every moment. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
hang in there!
Hi jannah08 - rabbet42 here - I had GBS in October, 2007. Was diagnosed with two tests, the nerve test and lumbar puncture. I had the plasmapheresis five times to get rid of the disease. It is painful but with pain medication and Gods precious help, I survived. I pray that the good Lord does the same for you.
Hi Jannah: My husband Charlie had the plasma....(not sure of spelling) when he was admitted to the intensive care unit. It is like having a blood transfusion. They usually do 8 or 9 consecutive treatments, and it did not look a bit painful. As a matter of fact, he could not even remember having it done. Bonnie
I am 17 years old and have recently been diagnosed with GBS. It started all in a week and gradually became worse. I received treatments and am physical therapy. Over the past few days, it has gotten worse again and I feel like I did when I first got this disease.
About 3 years ago, I started cutting myself. Not very much, but then I started carving words onto my legs where no one would see. I have recently stopped cutting but it is a challenge I must face everyday and fight against the urge to cut.
I was diagnosed with major depression 3 yrs ago and I am 17 years old. I have been in treatment facilities and am currently still in therapy.
