About Me
I am a 42 yrs old happily married mom of 4 children. My oldest son is 22 and is in the military. He is presently in Iraq. I have 3 at home, 2 boys 18 and 14 and a daughter, she is 16. I have 3 stepchildren as well. Two girls 22 and 20 and a stepson 18. My husband and I celebrated our 2nd anniversary in March!! I was born with 1 hand....I can do anything anyone else can do. The only thing that I have found that I can't do is count pass 6 using my fingers, however I have all 10 toes so its all cool! My favorite quote: "If life hands you lemons.....MAKE LEMONADE!!!! I currently work as a Pre K teacher. I love working with children. My mom found out that she is Bipolar in March. It is a very stressful time for us all. I don't know alot about Bipolar, I am researching to gain understanding and be better prepared for the road ahead. Well I think that is a start....Maybe I will add more another time. To sum everything up.....I am a very blessed person and I thank God for EVERYTHING he has done for me!! God Bless you all and I look forward to making new friends here!

Close Bipolar Disorder
We found out 3 weeks ago that my mom is Bipolar. She was in the hospital for a week. She is now at home and going to counseling. So much has happened in the past 3 weeks. Actually if I think about it...There have been signs that something was wrong with mom for years. I ask myself everyday, WHY DIDN'T I DO SOMETHING TO HELP HER SOONER, Why didn't we ASK QUESTIONS, Why Did we let it go so long....Yes I feel bad and I do blame myself to a point for not recognizing the signs.

Open Grandparents Raising Children
I was raised by my Grandparents from the time I was 3 months old. I am THANKFUL to them and I feel very Blessed having them! My hats off to all Grandparents who take on this task!
Open Sexual Abuse
I was sexual abused by my real dad for years. I finally told someone when I was 23 yrs old. Most of my family just wanted me to forget it, never talk about it because ...."What would people say" It has been a very LONG TOUGH ROAD. And it still affects me to this day. I wish I could live a NORMAL LIFE.... but then I ask myself.....WHAT IS NORMAL.

Open War in Iraq
I just found out on Monday that my oldest son Grant is in Iraq. He sent me an email saying mom I am in Iraq. It was a shock because he had told me that he was not scheduled to deploy until sometime in October. I was hoping that I would get to go out to Colorado to see him before he left. Grant has been in the military since 2004. He went in straight out of high school. He is in the secret service and has been to Korea for 2 yrs and last yr he went to Colorado.
