About Me
I am originally from Massachusetts where I was bit. Two years into seeing several different Doctors and always complaining that I had the flu I was diagnosed with Lyme Disease. I never had the bulls eye rash but had a positive titer and western blot. I was given 2 weeks of oral Tetracycline. Then Tested negative But my symptoms never went away. Just 6 mos. later I tested positive again, I was given 2 wks of the same antibiotic. Needless to say I am on disability and not very productive. I just began oral Doxy and Flagyl. Progress has finally begun but it will be a long hard road. I am herxing! I also take 2 cloves of crushed fresh garlic twice daily to clean out toxins and intensify the antibiotics. I passed the Lyme onto my two youngest girls who both homeschool because of their health and struggling to be like the other kids. They aren't. They are well-adjusted though. They are the greatest and I am very Thankful I have them.

Interests
I've been sick for so long, I just want to get better to SEE what my interests are again. There is so much to see, so much to learn. I must say I miss working. I loved my job working with severely handicapped/mentally retarded adults and would go back in a heartbeat.

Close Lyme Disease
My Dx was in 1992, 2 yrs. after the Lyme symptoms started.I was treated with Tetracycline for 2 wks. 6 Months later I tested positive again.. same treatment was administered. On Doxy and Flagyl now.
Treatments
- Amoxicillin Somewhat Helpful
- I was kept on Amoxilcillin during my pregnacy to protect the baby .
- Tetracycline Somewhat Helpful
- still symptomatic
