Treatments
- Vancomycin Working / Worked
- I was in hospital already when swabbed for MRSA..and was immediately put on this via IV. I only had 2 courses of it and was taken off. I had no signs or symptoms of MRSA...just positive swabs.
- Washing Working / Worked
- I was swabbed going into hospital for a knee surgery and was put in an isolation room before and after surgery. Again this was the 2nd time I had positive swabs...but no signs or symptoms. I was discharged from hospital twice with positive swabs? Never had follow up swabs.

I'm a 36 yr old female..who has Spina Bifida..BUT...I had a TKA of my right knee in June 2006. I developed Osteonecrosis (no blood to the knee/bone) so the bone died and I did't have a knee left. I can sympathize with "the pain" everyone here is talking about. I had another knee surgery on the same knee this past Dec..I had a liner exchange. Hope I can help and answer any questions.
