Close Multiple Sclerosis (MS)
Type: Relapsing-remitting MSI got diagnosed @ 17 yrs old when i went blind.Luckily with the steroids most of my sight returned. It's been quit a road from there but i still consider myself very blessed!
Treatments
- Betaseron Somewhat Helpful
- I'm not sure that I could find the right words to explain the experience.Some days seem to be easier than others but on the other hand some days are very hard.At least they seem that way.
- Neurontin Not Working
- I took Neurontin for a while and said to crap with it.It was horrible.The side effects to it made you completely feel helpless and angery.
- Prednisone Working / Worked
- I have to use these steroids quit often.They usually work rather well but the biggest downfall to taking it is it makes you gain soooo much weight.
- Cellcept Working / Worked
- This secondary medication is one I take with my injections except I have to take it on a daily basis instead of every other day.It seems to work well with the betaseron but I'm not sure how it would do on it's own.
- Solumedrol Working / Worked
- Use as needed. It really works. I just can't stand the weight gain that goes with it!
