I have to agree...well today was interesting to say the least.....Hayden's birthday....he spent the night here last night as his Mama was out of town with her sisters,,,,,????? and older son..when she called Hayden had just gone to sleep.....He didn't sleep good in cause he wasn't used to being at Nanna's....I finally got him to sleep......and he got up at eight....I just got him for nap when Mom called......I explained my dilema.....she said not to wake him......hung up....tried to nap a little....phone rang again...MOM....Brenda and boys are here....I said well Hayden is here if they want to see him on his birthday they better come over....for some reason I cleaned in here yesterday....I don't host family parties any more...house is to small....and messy...I muist have hung up phone wrong cause the phones were out all evening.....No one noticed their absence cause we had eight people here....big dinner.....baby birthday.....play play play.....so that was my day....

    Hi, Sisterhood,
I enjoy reading about your family and where you live. It's so different from where I am in Florida. I landed here commenting on "Hayden's first birthday" because I think I read (elsewhere on dailystrength.com) that you take your CPAP camping??? I am brand new on DS, so forgive me if I've done something stupid (like contact the wrong person). But I am desperate to learn how to become portable/mobile with my CPAP. I am a writer. I am missing out on a lot of travel assignments because if of my CPAP dependence. I am just starting to seek a solution to this dilemma (I've been too busy w/ college-age son problems, helping my elderly mother, wifey homemaking tasks-- you know the drill, right???) and maybe the answer's right here in cyberspace and I haven't found it. When I ask the home health folks about it, they haven't a clue. I read about some guy using a car battery to power his CPAP, and that won't work for me if I'm writing about blue-water-sailing and having to sleep aboard a small boat. If you have insights, please do share, Sisterhood dear. Those baby pics on you site are delightful and indeed brought a smile! Thanks!!!!

My c pap had a power inverter for it...but I have one for my
car....I just hook it to the cigarette lighter...and off I go...
It's Never draws so much power that I can't start the truck..
I sleep in the back of the van...or in my pick up.....I'm way
to big to sleep on the ground...I've taken it as far as New Orleans from Idaho...in Motels....they usually come in a travel bag..
You just sit them on the floor and go for it...Mine has even traveled by bus..cause I don't care much for planes..I keep it under my feet in it's bag..cause they cost to much to let out of my sight.LOL...
Don't miss anything more....take it with YOU....
    Hugs
    Laurel
