Mother is 85...and lives alone..She is very active but I took her to Dr. yesterday for allergies and she was down...I also vac'd her house ...though mine needs it!...It's always easier to help a loved one than to do things for ones self!....Gary mowed her lawn....Mother doesn't live far from me..but it seems we always have something "Else" to do...I know she is on loan in this age group....and need to spend time just hanging out with her...I try...but sometimes I am not a very good daughter....even if I am the ONLY one...I take her to all Dr. appt.s and accompany her in....because she has fibro and the fog gets in her way of understanding their orders at times it just takes two of us to get it right...for 85 she can still keep ahead of me....she is a quilter...she has her beloved sr. club....her reading circle...and her crochet...and her Great Grandkids to dote upon...she is my buddy and my friend...

what a gift you are to her. my mum is in florida and I try to call her every day when the blue doesn't get in the way. I don't like going there and latelly I don't feel lik e talking to her it feels like such a chore> I am the only child I do love her very much but right now I am twisted sister.

The truth is......she is God's gift to me.....because She was
married to an alcoholic all her life.....I never really knew her
till lmy father was dead and gone.....perhaps if we had all known one another better life would have been easier on all of us.....
