About Me
I am a mother of a 5 year old girl. She is the light of my life and I wouldn't be writing this right now if it wasn't for her. I got divorced 3 years ago, and have been much happier ever since. I have been bp since I was 15 years old and it hasn't been under control until recently. 6 months and counting. I am a stay at home mom because I am on disability. I haven't been stable enough to work since my daughter was born. I'm just living day by day and hope to continue down the right path.

Interests
My first passion is my daughter, of course. Then it would have to be skiing the one thing I'm good at. I'm a ski instructor in the winter here. I also enjoy running, it gives me a great release. And my last real joy is to shop, that would explain all my manic debt.

She must look sooooo cute.
My daughter is going out as a vampire fairy. She is not happy about being at her dad's this weekend. She is always home for halloween. My son doesn't go out anymore. therefore I just give out candy. It is sooooo expensive though!

Close Bipolar Disorder
I have been bipolar since I was 15, now at 30 years old am finally well. It has been a very rocky road to recovery, and at some points it looked like I wasn't going to make it. I am now a single mother after a failed marriage of a 3 year old girl. She is the light of my light and has gotten me through the last couple years of severe ups and downs. I am also an alcoholic and drug addict now recovered and I just recently quit smoking too. My life hit rock bottom before it got better.
Treatments
- Ativan Working / Worked
- I just use it occationally for anxiety attacks. no side effects
- Celexa Somewhat Helpful
- used in the past for depression
- Group Therapy Working / Worked
- joined a BP group best thing ever, really helped me, learned a lot, no side effects
- Lamictal Working / Worked
- 300mg per day, works great, saved my life, no side effects. Can't live without it!
- Lithium Working / Worked
- 1200mg/day works great, keeps me in check, been on it for 4 yrs. memory loss, and poor concentration
- Risperdal Working / Worked
- 2mg/day keeps my paranoia and hallucinations away. caused amenoria
- Seroquel Working / Worked
- no longer on it, too sedating, gained 40lbs. on it for 3 years. did help with anxiety
- Topamax Somewhat Helpful
- considering going off it, 100mg/day. doesn't seem to do much of anything, no side effects
- Zyprexa Working / Worked
- only on it for a short period of time, can't remember why I went off it, now on risperdal, maybe bad side effects it was a long time ago.
- Geodon Working / Worked
- Just started not weight gain help with irratibility
