The plants I ordered for your garden arrived today. I planted them and put plenty of mulch around them. I can't wait till next summer to see them bloom. I planted a white bleeding heart, white dragonflower, white everlooming iris, snow white hibiscus and some crazy shasta daisy. They looked real healthy and should survive the winter. One of our Uncle Buddy's first words was flower. Can you believe that? Do you remember me teaching you to say "DeeDee".
I'll never forget that night. You would make a little sound and then give me the biggest smile. Who would ever thought that would be the last time I spent with you. The weather is getting colder. Did you put that bird in my hanging basket? DeeDee was so scared when she watered the flower and a something flew out. I wasn't sure if it was a bird or a bat so I quickly ran into the house. It flew away before I could tell what it was. I couldn't imagine why something would be sleeping in my hanging basket but I guess I shouldn't be surprised since one year there was a praying mantis nest in my plant and when I brought it in for the winter they hatched and I had praying mantis all in my kitchen. There was also a toad in another plant that jumped out at me when I put the plant down. I miss you so much and think of you all the time.
Love,
DeeDee
