I am 27, I live in NC. I have been married for a little over three years. I have the most wonderful little boy in the world. I work in social services. I will hopefully graduate with my Master's degree in social work in May. This gambling problem is getting in the way of that. I consider myself an athlete... I played college soccer and I miss it so much.... even though I have been out of it for years now.

Ho Pearls, I am also 27 and live in NC. I know what you mean about trying to have friends and it not working. I have just stopped trying because it never works for me. The woman at work seems like a jerk.

It will get easier and easier day by day if you stay close to the people here at Daily Strength. I understand what you are going through and I know you can do this. If I can make it 14 days (being the addict that I am) you certainly can. Stay focused and make other friends here by encouraging them. Hi Friend! You are doing awesome..I came to this site 14 days ago and I have been GF since. Our friends here really do make a difference. Try to be understanding of your husbands perspective and if at all possible...don't resent him if he acts like a pee brain. The things that we have done have hurt our spouses and we need to give them time to watch us change before they will be on track with us. Don't be lazy either...idol hands are the Devil's workshop. I do not parent any of my own teenagers (yet), I work in a residential group home for youth who have bad behavior. I thought that I might be able to help people that are having trouble with their teens.
I have been taking prescription Adderall XR for quite a while. I have gotten to the point that I am dependent and have been abusing by taking more than prescribed.
I work with youth who have behavioral disorders. ODD is one of my specialties. I thought that I might be able to give some advice.
