I'm 15 years old and i have selective mutism. i love scary movies and comedies. i love reading and sometimes i write books, usually scary ones.i have 2 dogs, who i love very much, a hamster, who's completely nuts, and 2 guinea pigs who fight all the time and are very loud. i can't stand school, it's just to boring. i bowhunted last year, and now i'm going to try shotgun.

Close Panic Attacks
I have panic attacks alot, because i have selective mutism. i feel trapped in my own body. I can't talk in school no matter how hard i try. I panic just going to a store.Please, someone help.
Treatments
- Paxil Working / Worked
- I've taken paxil a little over a year, and it's been working. I hadn't ridden my bike in two years because of selective mutism, but then paxil helped me. The only bad thing about it is it makes me very tired, all day every day.
- Positive Thinking Considering
- It works a little. i sometimes just say " what's the worst that can happen? they're no better than you."
- Psychotherapy Somewhat Helpful
- My therapy is boring and i can't stand it, but it has helped a little. I used to hide behind a chair there, but i got used to Lori and now i can talk to her.Since i hate it there, i smart off to her alot, but at least i can talk instead of writing notes.
- Prozac Not Working
- All it did was make me mean.
Close Teen Anxiety
i have anxiety all the time,mostly at school. my therapist just doesn't understand. i was 3 years old when i was diagnosed with selective mutism, which means i can't talk in certain social settings,and that makes my anxiety 10 times worse.
Open Pet Bereavement
i'm going through it right now. my brother left my hamster's cage open and he escaped. we can't find him any where. he's been missing almost 3 days now, and so we're losing hope. we loved him.
