About Me
Fibromyalgia symptoms for 25 years but only recently diagnosed. Married and mother of three grown sons, grandmother of two adorable boys and a beautiful grand daughter, who everyone says looks like me! Taught for seven years after raising a family and a few before. Had to stop because of fibro. I love to serve my family, garden, home improvement, community service, and church callings. My family has come so far in understanding my health limitations. I love them so! Remission for six weeks... no meds... don't know what to say!

Close Fibromyalgia
Trouble with sore muscles since high school. Auto accident 1983. Troublesome neck ever since. Pneumonia 1999. Sick for 2 months. Overall stiffness and soreness started after accident and became intolerable after pneumonia in 99. Cymbalta worked for about two months, then didn't work anymore. I gained 40 pounds. Thank goodness I lost it again! With good meds and a great doc and PT I am very stable and my life is so good now. Better than it has been in decades, as far as pain.

- Aqua Therapy Working / Worked
- Works when I have time to travel to the fitness club 30 minutes away.
- Cyclobenzaprine Working / Worked
- Cymbalta Working / Worked
- Worked for a few months, then became ineffective. Gained 40 pounds after losing them. Have lost them again, after going off Cymbalta
- Heat Working / Worked
- Nothing better than a hot tub dip and a swim for sore achy body and keeping in shape.
Close Cleft Lip / Palate
57 years old. Declared my self an emancipated minor at 18 to have surgeries

- Reconstructive Surgery Working / Worked
- extensive reconstructive surgery. One surgery as an infant and 16 more after the age 18. Phayngeal flap one of the best treatments for velo pharyngeal closure
Open Myofascial Pain Syndrome
Like many others, I have been diagnosed with fibro and MPS. The MPS was diagnosed 15 years ago by a rheumy who never offered any treatment. Thankfully I found a Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Dr. who is awesome. With PT and other treatment, I am doing ever so much better!
