Wow. Where did October go? Well, here's a post for Halloween.
The kid's starting to show signs of intelligence. For Halloween, the next-door-neighbor's house had multiple gravestones, a fog machine, multiple strobes, and a screaming, moaning soundtrack. We walked out the front door of our house, he looked over at the neighbor's house, and
started to say "no". Repeatedly. Like a dozen times. I do not exaggerate. There was no mistaking his intent. We went Trick-or-Treating the opposite direction. It only took him 2 doors to get the whole "walk up, ring the door bell, wait, get candy" routine (he's only 20 months and not really talking much, so yelling "trick or treat!" wasn't really an option). He kept a careful eye on the neighbor's house for much of the door-to-door action. By the time we worked our way completely around the block, and the neighbor's house was next, there went my boy: right past the neighbor's house. He didn't hesitate, he didn't take any faltering steps to the door. He simply walked right past it, while watching the house the entire way just in case something started to give chase.
Unfortunately, he doesn't seem to have grasped the concept that Halloween is for one night only. When we walk home from the park, he still walks up to people's doors and rings the bells. The folks that have answered have all been amused when I explain about him "not getting it", but I fear this might be kinda old come February...
*sigh* this system just my journal entry. Again. GAAAAAAAH!
Doug, if you're reading this, your journal editor SUCKS!
Anyways, it turns out the substitute family practice physician failed to properly diagnose me. What a surprise. I don't have pink eye, I have uveitis.
I went to an opthalmologist last Tuesday. She said that there is evidence that I've had it before. I'm *certain* that I've never had these symptoms before, but maybe the very slight vision bluriness I've sometimes experienced was that.I've been on the Prenisolone for 6 days and my eye is much better. Still not 100% though. Hopefully when I see the opthalmologist again this Thursday she'll have good news.

Oh,MDD, I am SO Very ,Very ,Sorry to hear about your friends son! There are simply No words to adequately express ones feelings at a time like this!! My heart simply goes out to both your family and your friends; I pray for comfort and peace for you all!! It is SO HARD to understand why a family member chooses to take their life, but in their way of thinking at that time, they feel that they are doing everyone a favor and that everyone will be better off without them around!! If they wern't sick at the time, they would understand the grief their families go through from now on wondering why they didn't come to them for help, you know?? I will keep this family, as well as your family close in prayer ove the next weeks and months! God Bless!

Your AS will use ANYTHING as a reason to flare up!!! Be careful & don't miss any med doses!(I get careless about that if i'm worried about somebody else, for some reason; I just forget about me)! Anyways, take care; know you and your family are being thought of and prayed for, along with your friend and his family!! God Bless!!

MDD, you keep posting, my friend! You are right; writing is a wonderful way to get your feelings out and to help with all the pent up hurt and emotions you NEED to deal with at times like this!! Encourage your fiend to come to this site, also if he doesn't already have a support group, because he and his family are certainly gonna need a place and people to talk to, too!!
Hope this finds everyone doing a "little better, with a smaller feeling of Gods peace surrounding all!!"
