About Me
25 year old who was diagnosed with IC and endo 2 years ago. I had an abdominal hysterectomy almost a year ago b/c of horrific chronic pelvic pain.Although I've not been healthy throughout my life, I feel like I'm the most blessed person in the world (see the pics on my profile, and you'll see why!)- I look to my husband and 2 year old daughter for strength and happiness. Without either of them, I don't think I'd be able to function as a person. I'm a strong believer in prayer and know God has wonderful healing power!

I love being outside and doing anything as long as my husband and daughter are by my side. I also love to write, mainly poetry... Learning new things and meeting new people is always fun too!

Close Interstitial Cystitis (IC)
I am plagued with IC. I've been diagnosed now for 2 years. I know this is what has been ruining my life since I was a child though.
Treatments
- Bladder Distention Working / Worked
- The first one worked awesome. The second one didn't do so well, it actually made all my pain and spasms worse.
- Elmiron Not Working
- I am unable to take the common dose of 3 times a day b/c the med makes my stomache spasm more and make me feel sick to my stomache
- Prayer Somewhat Helpful
- Prayer gives you a sense of peace and relaxation, knowing God will not allow it to get to where you can't handle it.
Close Hysterectomy
I'm 24 and am married and have a 2 year old daughter, Kadence. I have been struggling with chronic pelvic pain since I gave birth to her. I've tried many different meds and treatments, nothing has worked. On March 21, 2008 I had an abdominal hyster. taking my cervix, uturus, Left ovary and tube.
Open Endometriosis
Undergone an exploratory surgery last year and it showed I had "like" symptoms of endo. Also this march during my hysterectomy, I had endo which made them take one of my ovaries and tube out.
Treatments
- Extended-Cycle Birth Control Working / Worked
- Seasonique took the pain away, but gave me horrible migrains so my ob/gyn took me off of them and put me back on Loestrin 24 which took the migrains away, but the pain is back.
- Surgery Working / Worked
- After the surgery, I had tons more energy and a lot less pain, for awhile.
Open Bereavement
13 years ago, my dad passed away with Cancer. He never got to meet any of his 6 grandchildren, including my 1 daughter. I still miss him, I'm 24 and never knew how growing up with a father feels like. I still cry after all these years.

- I love writing poetry. It helps me get out all the feelings bottled up inside of me.

Open Fibromyalgia
NO diagnosis of Fibro yet. Still in the works in deciding what is wrong w/ me.
