I have not been on any medications - outside of med to sleep - since December 2009! I must report that it's month to month, week by week, and day to day - depending on what my body is doing! I have been on supplements of evening primrose oil and magnesium phosphate, along with calcium w/Vitamin D, multivitamin, and folic acid for last few months. It's hard to tell if things are working, but I know I can manage through things and I'm beginning to predict when my painful times of month are coming or atleast better at reading some pre-symptoms so I can act fast! My last dr visit left me with the discovery of yet another fibroid growing, but this time on left side of uterus. I am bound and determined to not have surgery to have this removed, rather I want to try to research a natural treatment to help shrink fibroids or prevent from getting worse! I'm still working on this and I find that my area of PA does not really carry or support my "naturalist" thinking! It's ok, I'll keep persevering until I (maybe) find a natural way that works for me!






Please keep me posted on how this works for you. I am also trying to do things with no pain meds (other than motrin), but I do take an antidepressant now. However, I also take Magnesium and Vitamin D, and I think the D has also helped my general mood. I will have to get some evening primrose oil.
Do you take any Omega 3 oil? I heard that can help. I am also trying to get back into Pilates more. I know my cramps act up and my back hurts, too.
I am really happy for you! I know this isn't an easy route, but I think it's great that you are trying so hard.
