Hey nina, you can do it! Whats your plan? Weight watchers worked very well for me! 30 pounds is an achievable goal, just don't be hard on yourself if it takes more time than until july. The slower you lose it, the more likely you are not to find it again! I lost 40 pounds over 8 months and have kept it off for over a year. Patience...

Excellent goal! Remember, fruits and vegetables are made up mostly of water and indigestible fiber, along with tiny but necessary amounts of nutrients; however, overcooking them can convert the indigestible fiber into carbohydrates, so try lightly steaming when possible when cooking is needed. Brocolli is excellent cooked and eaten without anything added - no sauces or butter or margarine. Avoid the problem foods that pack on the pounds: breads, sugars, and oils; particularly soft drinks. Lean whole cuts of meat are best; avoid ground beef because that's where the butcher puts the chunks of fat that are trimmed from lean cuts. Sugar-free cookies and snacks are not calorie free, they still have a lot of calories from the flour and oil they contain, so don't be fooled. Add a good daily multivitamin to your diet. Set yourself a reasonable goal - losing slightly less than a pound a week is workable for most people. When you first begin, weight you lose may come back, but as your metabolism adjusts, weight that you take off will stay off. Remember, all that other folks can do, why with patient trying should not you? I wish you great success!
