Close Fibromyalgia
Diagnosed w/fibro about 12 years ago. 61 years old and "medically retired". Lack medical and family support; looking for people who understand.
Treatments
- Cyclobenzaprine Working / Worked
- Helped for a time. No side effects.
- Effexor Not Working
- Took for depressiion. Did nothing for fibro. No side effects.
- Elavil Not Working
- Didn't really do anything. No side effects.
- Heat Somewhat Helpful
- Will help only as long as heat is applied.
- Neurontin Somewhat Helpful
- Relieves the "heaviness" but not the pain. No side effects.
- Ultram Somewhat Helpful
- Worked for a time. No side effects.
Close Depression
Type: Clinical (Major) DepressionHave had depression for many, many years with little or no relief. My therapist say it is chronic sadness; I'm NEVER happy about ANYTHING anymore.
Treatments
- Celexa Working / Worked
- Has helped more thany anything else. No side effects.
- Effexor Somewhat Helpful
- Worked for several years but eventually get less and less. No side effects.
- Elavil Not Working
- Helped very little. Later used to help sleep. No side effects.
- Seroquel Working / Worked
- Use this for sleeping aid. Had to increase dosage, but it does work. No side effects.
- Trazodone Not Working
- No side effects.
- Wellbutrin Working / Worked
- Taking now. Increased dosage and added other meds. No side effects.
- Writing Somewhat Helpful
- Always starting a journal; never staying with it.
