challenges, inner journeys Mood
Monday, March 2, 2009 | A General Update story

well, this past winter has seen a few big changes.  new years eve was a blast but painful as usual.   and now it's progressing.   the fingers on my hand are rigidly straight, have been since yr. 2000.  i thought as long as i have 1 good hand i'll make it.

well, in the past few weeks, the fingers on my left hand are slowly going rigid.  doctors are distant and clueless always.  idiots.  i'm having difficulty using the bathroom, cleaning, picking things up, manicures, pedicures.    i guess i put my beloved guitar down 4 good after all.  mike is great.  i cant lean the whole thing on him though.

it's about new sets of challenges, climbing mountains, journeys 2 doctors again.  trying 2 stay very strong, over and over.  staying strong and sane in a very isolated area.  solitude isnt for everybody.  creator please give me strength and sanity.  for the greatest good of all people.  aho.

Oh, sweetie.....although our problems are different, I can certainly identify with you. Every year seems to bring more challenges and takes away things I was quite capable of doing the year before. Its best just to learn to roll with the punches and do the best we can with what the Creator has allowed us to maintain. Sometimes I wonder how much I will be able to do as a rigid old woman though. (chuckle) Chin up, sweetie.....I know its rough, but such is life and its just something we have to accept as it is. Gentle hugs....

It's so frightening when our hands don't respond to our requests, a lot of the respnses are automatic and that seems to make it worse. I can empathise with you A, my hands have lost a lot of their abilities too. The docs have no explanation for this rigidity happening and that makes it all so much scarier doesn't it?? I know that this sounds a bit daft, but have you tried warm wax treatment to help loosen your finger's tendons?? There are no muscles in hte fingers, so it's the tendons that need a little exercise at a time may help too. Just gently start to bend your digits, squeezing a soft ball maybe?? Whenever you can, let us know how you are doing won't you?? Warm thoughts and hugs Z, xxxx

Sorry to hear about your frustration and your pain.

Best of luck with the idiots ... our lives are in their hands.

I pray (as does Daisy) that you find the right doctor and they help you find the health and the peace you deserve. : )
